HandiPockets travels to Washington D.C. to support our troops!
Joe and Helen Dorr, creators of HandiPockets, recently travelled to Washington D.C and accompanied their local Congressman to the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where they made a donation of three dozen, custom HandiPockets to recovering troops.
According to the Dorrs: "It was inspiring to visit these young service members, many of whom are anxious to return to their units. They assured us that they understand how much support they have at home and appreciate all the encouraging mail they receive thanking them for their service. It was an honor to shake hands with these patriots and thank them personally for our freedom."
In thanking the Dorrs for their support, Col. Charles R. Scoville, Program Manager for the U.S. Army Amputee Patient Care Program at Walter Reed stated: "The HandiPockets were well received."
